OCT Wed Night Wheel Throwing (4 weeks)

Service Description

Come spend your Wednesday evenings getting to know the potter's wheel. 🤍 Perfect for beginners, or for anyone who has tried the wheel before and would like to build their confidence and skills. You'll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, from centering your clay and opening it up, to pulling up the walls and shaping your piece. We'll start with simple forms and gradually work towards making things like tumblers, bowls and vases. Classes are kept with a maximum of 3 wheel-throwing students, allowing for hands-on guidance and support. What's included? ✨ Clay ✨ Studio tools & equipment ✨ Underglazes & glazes ✨ Firing of your finished pieces ✨ Saturday make-up sessions if you miss a Wednesday Large or particularly substantial pieces may have an additional fee for clay, kiln space and firing. This will always be discussed with you beforehand. OCTOBER : Wednesdays | 6pm–8:30pm (4 weekly sessions) 7 October • 14 October • 21 October • 28 October What will I make? We'll usually begin with a simple tumbler to help you get comfortable with the wheel. As you become more familiar with the process, we'll explore different shapes and forms, including bowls and vases. Wheel throwing takes practice, so don't worry about getting it perfect straight away. Come with an open mind, be patient with yourself and most importantly, have fun with the process. 🌿 What should I bring? Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, keep your nails short if possible, and bring a hair tie if you have long hair.
